BW Technology GmbH of Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock, Germany, has named Horst Bastian as company consultant effective January 2013. Bastian was the co-founder and managing director of Bastian Wickeltechnik GmbH. Under his leadership the company gained a positive reputation in the winding and slitting industry. After renaming to Bastian Winder Technologies GmbH & Co. KG in 2009, on December 16th, 2011 the court of Bielefeld announced the dissolution of the company. With its expertise and over 40 years of experience in winding technology, BW Technology is pleased to be able to improve the support for its customers in the nonwoven, foil, paper and aluminum industry with the addition of Bastian to its team the company says. With its other group companies Edelmann Technology GmbH & Co. KG and PSA Technology GmbH, BW Technology offers winding and cutting solutions for almost all applications. These include, for example, turretwinders, contactwinders, slitter-rewinders, corecutters, 2-drum winders for speeds of up to 800 m./min., shortroll winders, stationswindersr, complete off-line winding and slittingmachines for throughputs of 1.100 m./min. and above. The standard scope of supply includes roll widths from 20 mm to 6.000 mm and of short rolls with a few running meter up to roll diameters of 3.6 m for hygiene nonwovens.
